
Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1.5 sticks unsalted butter, melted and then cooled to warm
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees and spray cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray.
- Mix flour, baking soda and salt.
- In another bowl, mix sugars and butter until well blended. Add egg, egg yolk and vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop large tablespoonfuls onto baking sheets, no more than three across and well spaced.
- Bake until light brown - about 15-18 minutes. The centers will be soft (don't overbake). Allow to cool on baking sheets before removing.
