I love dill and any excuse to use it. So when I came across this recipe with the word “dill” in the title at the Allrecipes website, I had to give it a try. And the bonus - it is such an easy recipe! It only consists of 6 ingredients.
I’ve made this several times now. Its always a hit! It can dry out so be sure not to skimp on the creamy stuff!

Dill Chick-ett Casserole
1 package Worthington Chick-ett, diced
10 oz roll refrigerated biscuits
10.75 oz 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup light sour cream
1 small can mushroom pieces
1/2 teaspoon dill
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a 9×13 casserole dish, mix all ingredients together except the biscuits.
3. Bake for 10 minutes.
4. Take casserole out of the oven and place biscuits evenly over the top of the casserole.
5. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until biscuits are golden.
Note: the biscuit bottoms may be a little doughy. You could carefully flip the biscuits over 1/2 way through their cooking time if you want to avoid this.

I have never actually used dill. But this recipe looks good so I may just have to try it!
I have an aunt who is wild about dill. She grows masses of it in her garden, and will buy or cook just about any food if she sees it has dill. She even sprinkles dill on all of her sandwiches. I think it must hold some medicinal value for her, since it’s so appealing. Thank you for sharing your recipe with the Hearth and Soul hop.
Hi!
