Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

This weeekend was super succesful for me. Well, in the kitchen anyway. A culinary triumph!
Last weekend I was sick and had planned a nice spread for my guests while we watched college football. However, my energy was zapped and I served pre-prepared food instead.
This weekend, I was healthy and ready to right those store-bought wrongs! More about my football spread later…
Friday night I baked chocolate chip cookies. This was the first “home made” item I had made in over a week.

My mother-in-law was extremely impressed. She said the cookies tasted like something out of a bakery. Now that’s a compliment! Especially considering the fact that I had only 3/4 cup chocolate chips to work with (and the recipe calls for 1 to 1.5 cups).
