Weekly Weigh-In Week 5
July 13th, 2012
Faithfully, I have been weighing in every Thursday for the past six weeks.
And although I’ve been meaning to post my results, I have not.
So here is the run down…
Within my first week, I ran a 5K and really injured my achilles tendon. I could barely walk for awhile. I went to an orthopedic specialist who advised me that I should avoid exercise until my ankle felt better and then only use the stationary bike until my six week follow up appointment.
So the only means I had to reach my weight loss goal was to stay within my daily points. I was able to lose a pound a week for my first three weigh-ins! Three pounds gone just by eating better. I can’t complain about that.
At last week’s weigh-in, I lost two pounds! My achilles tendon was feeling much better so I worked out on the stationary bike a couple of times. I was so thrilled! Two more pounds gone by exercising twice and eating better. Wow!
Today, I was only down 0.6 pounds. Disappointing considering I exercised three times and continued eating within my daily points.
That said, I’d rather lose a little than gain.
So my total weight loss in the five weeks I’ve been on Weight Watchers is 5.6 pounds.
Which doesn’t sound all that impressive, but at least I’m making progress.
I’m hoping for a greater loss next week…
